Mrs. Denson's Cookie Company has been proudly owned and run by
The Baking Company of Ukiah since 2004.

Mrs. Denson's Cookie Company was originally established in Redwood City, CA in 1966. In 1968 the operation was moved to Redwood Valley in beautiful Mendocino County, CA. Starting as a Mom & Pop business serving retail as well as institutional customers, growth came from increased sales of bulk packs and private label baking. Customer satisfaction is key to our continued success… with some of our customers still returning after 20 years! The present owner has been managing the business since 1984. Emphasis has been placed on natural foods, both private label and with the introduction of Mrs. Denson's own label.

In December 1994, Mrs. Denson's moved from the Redwood Valley location to Ukiah. This move was to a new building and constituted a quantum leap for the company in terms of production efficiency, quality control and employee working conditions. As the owner has said, "It allowed us to become more competitive and expand our business at a time when the industry, in general, was downsizing". In April 1997, another oven was added to the facility adding over 40% to production capacity.

In 2004, Mrs Denson's Cookies sold its production equipment. A new company, The Baking Company of Ukiah , with new ownership, assumed control and production at the facility. It is now totally a co-packer, making cookies for many companies, including Mrs. Denson's. The Baking Company assured consistency in quality by using the same employees, the same equipment, and the same ingredients.

The Baking Company of Ukiah will continue to market Mrs Denson's branded product. We will continue to concentrate on cookies for restricted diets, foodservice, and the ice cream industy. Additionally,The Baking Company of Ukiah will continue to offer research and development services. This will include helping you find a bakery to co-pack your new product. We even have some great recipes available if they fit your application.

2. Certified as an Organic processor by Quality Assurance International;
3. Certified as a Kosher processor by the Orthodox Union;
4. A wide variety of traditional cookies are offered as well. Bulk cookies are sold to institutional distributors up and down the West Coast. Over a million pounds of chocolate chip cookies alone are made per year for one customer;
